Fodele Beach Brings Environmental Awareness and Action Together
On Friday, 25 September 2026, to mark the World Day of Action against Climate Change, Fodele Beach organised environmental awareness activities with the participation of guests and staff.
Environmental information materials were displayed in the hotel’s conference room, alongside screenings of documentaries on related topics. Guests had the opportunity to learn about environmental issues and reflect on the role each of us can play in protecting our natural surroundings.
Awareness was combined with practical action through “Tourism Cares: Unite for Cleaner Destinations”, an initiative jointly organised by TUI Musement, the TUI Care Foundation and the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI), ahead of World Tourism Day on 27 September. As part of this shared effort for cleaner destinations, Fodele Beach staff and guests joined forces to clean a neighbouring section of Fodele beach, beyond the hotel grounds. Our participation highlighted the value of working with TUI on initiatives that engage employees and visitors in caring for our local area.
By combining information, environmental awareness among guests and volunteer participation, the day highlighted the connection between hospitality and caring for our destination. We warmly thank the guests and team members who took part and contributed to this shared effort.
