Learning to Help from an Early Age: First Aid at Fodele’s Schools
Caring for the local community is an integral part of the philosophy of Fodele Beach & Water Park Holiday Resort. Guided by this belief, and to mark World First Aid Day, the hotel took the initiative to provide free first aid training to pupils from Fodele Primary School and Kindergarten, in collaboration with Ergoprolipsis.
The event took place on 21 September 2026 at Fodele Primary School, introducing the children to basic first aid knowledge through experiential learning and practical participation.
Under the instructor’s guidance, the pupils were introduced to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and had the opportunity to practise using a dedicated training manikin. This practical experience gave the children a direct way to explore an important topic: the value of helping and caring for others.
The initiative aimed to familiarise children with first aid and encourage an interest in safety, responsibility and solidarity from an early age. Introducing these concepts in a school setting is an important first step towards developing a culture of prevention and helping others.
For Fodele Beach, our connection to the local area is expressed through initiatives that respond to the community’s needs. Supporting children’s education is a meaningful way for us to contribute to this effort, in collaboration with the people and organisations of Fodele.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ergoprolipsi for its collaboration and educational contribution, and to the leadership and teachers of both schools for hosting and supporting the initiative. A special thank you to the children for their participation!
